Dealing With Flying Monkeys & Enablers

You’re not the problem just because you stopped participating in your own mistreatment.
As you heal, people around you will reveal who they are. Some will support you. Some will shame you. Some will try to gaslight you back into silence. It's terrible to experience, yet very eye-opening. I say this a lot - "Sometimes the trash takes itself out."
WHO THEY COULD BE
- Family who guilt you for going no-contact
- Friends who “don’t want to get involved”
- People who defend the abuser
- Those who think keeping the peace matters more than truth
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
- Stop seeking validation from those who don’t live or understand your pain - this is so hard, but necessary.
- Detach. Redirect. Block if needed.
- Speak truth only where it’s safe
- Focus on who supports your healing—not your silence
HERE'S WHAT MADE YOU VULNERABLE
As much as you want it to, you have to be ok with not everyone getting it. You just need to get yourself free.
