Stage 5:  How To Set Boundaries Without Guilt

Red phoenix rising, wings spread, on white background.

Your peace is more important than their approval.

Write that message somewhere that you will see it daily (bathroom mirrors are perfect).  Boundaries are where you stop abandoning yourself. They will feel uncomfortable—especially if you’ve been taught that saying “no” is mean. But boundaries are your healing in action.

LIES YOU WERE TAUGHT

  • Boundaries = rejection
  • Speaking up = drama
  • Saying no = selfishness
  • Silence = disrespect

THE TRUTH ABOUT BOUNDARIES

  • They are how healthy people stay healthy
  • You don’t have to explain them
  • People who are used to violating them will push back—let them
  • Your healing will upset people committed to the old version of you

HERE'S WHAT MADE YOU VULNERABLE

Black square with a white down arrow.
Double quotation marks.

Loving yourself loudly will offend people who benefited from your silence.
